49th Art Directors Club Show

Design (Graphic/Information) Students Win Multiple Awards at the 49th Connecticut Art Directors Club Annual Show

  • Students from Central’s Design (Graphic/Information) program received multiple Awards of Excellence at the 49th Annual Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) Awards Dinner.

  • Three students from Professor Nan Hu’s Design II course—Lindsey Calpa, Nicolli Simao, and JaKyah Williams—were honored for their innovative pet food packaging designs. From Dr. Peggy Bloomer’s Data Narrative course, Jason Monckton received recognition for his compelling data visualization titled “Wage Inequality in the United States of America.”

  • Students from multiple semesters—Delia Schlecker ’24, Ever Hungaski ’25, and Cortaz Williams ’25—were also recognized for their community-engaged design work on the New Britain Industrial Museum branding and identity project, developed in Central Design’s student-run professional studio under the direction of Professor Jeanne Criscola.

Students Lindsey Calpa and Nicolli Simao attended the CADC Awards Show Dinner alongside faculty members Dr. Peggy Bloomer, Professor Jeanne Criscola, and Professor Nan Hu to celebrate these achievements.
